If you have found little relief from depression through medications, TMS therapy may be an alternative treatment option, particularly if:

  • You prefer a medication-free approach to treatment.
  • You cannot tolerate the side effects of antidepressant medications.

All new patients take a 16-question quiz to help our staff determine the level of depression and gather medical information. If you are a potential candidate, you will then be scheduled for an initial consultation with our psychiatric providers, who will evaluate the impact that depression has on your quality of life, your current and past medication trials, and other medical issues that may influence whether TMS therapy is right for you.

Most major insurance companies cover TMS therapy including Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare (Optum), Oscar (Optum), Blue Shield of CA (Magellan), Blue Cross Blue Shield, Healthnet, Beacon, or Humana. We do not currently accept Medicaid (“Medi-Cal”), Medicare, or Kaiser. Other insurance providers cover TMS therapy on a case-by-case basis.
